Unable to batch plot

Been having problems with batch plot. I'm getting an SDI error, telling me to set the SDI to 0. However, program is not allowing me to do that. Re installed the program, both times problem returned after 1 week. Typically I restart the program or my computer then I can batch plot. Now neither works. Please help. Thanks.

And how are you batch plotting?

Publish command?

.dst file?

Multiple layouts with right click/publish?

Is background publishing set to on or off?

Can you post a screenshot of the exact error, plus a screenshot of your PUBLISH and ABOUT commands pop-ups please.

Thanks for the screenshots: please explain what you mean by "...program is not allowing me to do that..." when you try to set SDI to 0 (zero)?

SDI is a system variable, 0 (zero) is off and 1 in on.

On the command line enter SDI and set the value to 0 (zero)

That is odd, as SDI only accepts values of 0 or 1.  What happens if you type this at the command line, and then press the ENTER key.

(setvar "SDI" 0)

Be sure to include both parentheses; you will be using AutoLISP to set the SDI system variable value.

Have you tried a repair or reinstallation of AutoCAD Architecture?  Please back up all customizations before doing so.

The value is stored in the Windows Registry, for each AutoCAD Profile you have defined.  If you are not comfortable with editing the registry, then I would advise against trying to fix the value this way.  If you are comfortable with editing the registry, then I advise you to make a backup of the registry before you make any changes, just to be safe.  The SDIMode registry key can be found under

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R23.0\ACAD-2004:409\Profiles\[YOURPROFILENAMEHERE]\Drawing Window

where you would substitute the name of your AutoCAD Profile for [YOURPROFILENAMEHERE].  If you select Drawing Window in the left pane, you can scroll down in the right pane and double-click on SDIMode.  In the Edit DWORD (32-bit) Value, enter 0 in the Value data edit box and select OK.
