Template File - Existing Drawing Issues

I created a dwt consisting of fields that pull information / properties from the dst as well as specific sheets. I created a significant amount of sheets with that dwt but then needed to add another field to it. My goal is for the existing sheets to reflect the revision made but this is not occurring. New sheets created with current .dwt will reflect the revision. The following are the troubleshooting measures I have performed:

Closed and re-opened sheets

Closed and re-opened .dst

Re-linked .dwt at the .dst properties / sheet creation 

I really hope that I do not need to recreate sheets already created in order to reflect revisions to the dwt. That generally seems rather inconvenient to workflow.

The DWT will only affect new drawings at the point of creation.

This sounds like a lesson of "measure it twice, build it once".

The only solution is Open a drawing, Paste the Field, Close the drawing, repeat. Sucks to be you, but probably won't take as long as you think.
