Standard Layer Color Code in Industry

Hello,

I was wondering if there is a certain standard as far as coloring layers/blocks goes for buildings/layouts/equipment. I cannot seem to find a basic standard for what each color is commonly used to identify. AIA and the National CAD Standards does not seem to specify. Other than white used for exterior walls, what are some common colors used for specific block features within a building design?

Thanks.

There is the program's default standards.
There is your office's standards (or the office of whom this project belongs to).
Then there is what your eyes best cope with standard.

There really is no "industry standard" beyond what you've already discovered (not specified).

If you will be using ACA, choose one of the built-in layering standards which are built on AIA and National CAD standards or use the British Standard.  Anything else will probably be a waste of time unless you have problem discriminating between certain colors.  The main choice you should be making is whether you want style based or color based plotting.
