Stair Display in Plan

Hello, I am having a really hard time displaying my stairs correctly in plan. The stair is generally a stair tower (however I did not create it using the stair tower tool- the stair system is made up of 4 separate flights) and I want it to display so that at each level it shows the stairs starting at that level's landing (I used slabs for landings) and going either up or down.
For instance, the second level is at 9'6" and the third is 19'. FOr the second floor plan I cut it at 12'6" but it shows the stairs starting at opposite landings. I have attached a floor plan showing this. I want it to show where the stairs go from the second floor, so both circles of the stair paths are at that 2nd floor landing.
I manually created linework to represent the stairs for my floor plan views, so the second attachment is the ultimate goal that I am trying to achieve with my stair display.
So, how do I go from the first attached file to making it look like the second attached file without manually creating lines for the stairs?
Thank you!!
PS I have messed around with the stair display for a while, but I do not want to have to alter my stairs/ stair display drastically everytime I produce a floor plan. There has to be a more time efficient way to do this?
