ROOF WINDOWS IN ACA 2021, ITS POSSIBLE??

Hi

Is there a way to add windows into a roof?

My partial solution was create a hole and rotate a window, but is not a great solution.

Any idea ?WINDOWS IN ROOF.png

It's not a feature in the program after all of these years.

Richard,

Is there a way..

Not to a roof, roof slab.  It would be nice to be able to place a window into a roof and have it do everything it should automatically similar to a wall.

Any Idea?

There are ways to make a wall display like a roof and use walls within roofs to ease the insertion and shifting of windows on the roof plane.  The attached dwg has three roof faces that have been altered in some way as an example.

1. Place a window manually on to the roof face and make a hole.

2. Place a window into a wall and place the wall into the roof. Allows shifting of the window in the roof plane. Displays like a curb mounted window.

3. Replace the roof with a wall completely for the 3d display. Leave the roof for plan view.

Hi

This is a great alternative solution!

I will try to replicate it.

Thanks
