Publish to PDF using Project Navigator or Sheet Set Manager

I've come across a bug in 2016 architecture and civil 3D when Publishing to PDF.  I experience random masked objects that turn black.  It's been nearly a decade since I've had these kind of problems.  Radom selecetion of text with a background mask turn black during the publish, such that the text is not readable.  This happens randomly to text created by by both Civil 3D and Architecture, and problem occurs while publishing from both Architecture and Civil 3D alike.

Originally I posted some rambelings here

thinking the problem was platform specific.  Anyone have a solution for this?

Thanks,

Hi Mike,

Our AutoCAD development team is looking into fixing this. We don't have an ETA yet on when this will be, but hopefully it will be soon. In the meantime, the workarounds we have are:

  • Plot to PDF from AutoCAD 2015 or earlier.
  • Plot to PDF from DWG TrueView 2015.
  • Plot to DWF and use that with Design Review 2013 instead of PDF.
  • Use a third-party PDF printer.
