Project information and drawing borders

Hi,

So I'm looking for a way to add project information to AutoCAD and have it auto-populate a custom drawing border. Basically exactly as Revit does it whereby you enter certain specific project information that doesn't change regardless of drawing (client name, address etc, maybe a project reference etc) but within AutoCAD.

Is that possible?

Thanks in advance!

What Revit calls labels are called fields in AutoCAD.

The project information feature of Revit is roughly paralleled by AutoCAD Architecture's Project Browser and Project Navigator.  Do you use them (fields, preset attributes, layout templates, PN)?  Have you looked at ACA's sample projects?

Yes, thanks for this - I've been exploring fields last night and seem to have hit upon what I need. I've created some custom fields and embedded them into our usual drawing borders so that certain unchangeable project information (address, client etc) is taken directly from the DWGPROP dialogue to populate all borders and more changeable information (author, date etc) is added via border attributes as we currently have in place.

Seems to work well enough.

Great. But if you're using ACA as opposed to just AutoCAD, don't ignore the Project Navigator.
