Low performance in layouts when hitting layer state

Hello guys, this is my first post here so please let me know if I need more clarification about this. I have an issue with the performance in Autocad Architecture 2018, in the layout tabs, I have different layer states that shows every plan that I need for the project, like floor plan, roof plan etc. but when I try to show an specific layer state it's taking about 1:30 minutes to change it to what I want to see in the layout, which for me is a lot of time specially considering that I have a lot of views on each project. I'm working in a laptop whit this components that I consider is plenty for cad:

Windows 10

I7-7820 2.9 GHz

32 gb ram

GeForce GTX 8 gb Nvidia

Now, I have tried to do the same in other computers but they are desktops, and it take about 10 seconds to do the same task, their hardware is similar to what I have on my laptop, so I'm not sure if is a problem with my laptop or a configuration that I need to change.

Just to clarify, I have put to high priority the Autocad process, I have downloaded the latest service pack for 2018 version, and I updated graphic card drivers as well.

Here is a screencast, hopefully will be easier to understand what I'm saying:

Thank you in advance.

Is this a new laptop or install? ACA2018 is 4+years old.
Or is something else new with teh setup?
or is this a problem only with certain files?

What does ABOUT command list your exact ACA2018 to be?
Is your laptop on wifi, where the desktops are hardwired?
file are store where? How are you connected to that source?

@pendean thanks for your help, here my answers :

Is this a new laptop or install? ACA2018 is 4+years old.

No, laptop is not new and I was working with this version because the company that I work for was working with the same version with no issues..so to avoid problems with incompatibility we use the same Acad, but maybe is time to update? Is not a new install, but I have always had this problem.

Or is something else new with teh setup?

No nothing new.

or is this a problem only with certain files?

Same problem with all the files

What does ABOUT command list your exact ACA2018 to be?

About shows this:

Product version : 8.0.73.0 Autocad Architecture 2018.0.3

Built on: O.161.0.0 Autocad 2018.1.2 Update

Is your laptop on wifi, where the desktops are hardwired?

Both are connected trough Ethernet, but files are located in C drive, so no need of internet actually.

file are store where? How are you connected to that source?

files are store in C drive, is a solid disk btw.
