Problem with wall endcaps in adjacent walls

Hi,

First time poster here, but I've got an issue I just can't quite figure out after several hours of googling. In my plan, I've got (2) different types of exterior wall. The stud walls and sheathing line up with each other and are the same priorities, but on WALL 1, the veneer has a larger air space behind it and has a priority of 30, and on WALL 2 the air space is smaller and has a priority of 40.  I have created end caps on WALL 1 to provide a return as it would actually occur in plan. However, since the walls are adjacent to each other, the end cap is not applying.

So I thought I'd make a different cleanup group for WALL 1. That solved the endcap problem, but created the problem of the studs and sheathing not cleaning up with each other.

Are you trying to achieve something like this:

That was done with two different Wall Styles, and some Wall Endcap Styles.  It may look like the two Walls are cleaning up, but that is an illusion created by using "open" endcaps - the lines at the adjoining end are hidden.  Cleanup between the two Walls is prevented (allowing the endcaps to show), with a -8" Return Offset on the endcap on the right end of the left Wall.

When selected, the left Wall looks like this:

The Wall "ends" in line with the brick return at the right side, but the -8" Return Offset projects the Wall Endcap 8" beyond that end.  The endcap takes care of the brick return, and, as noted previously, the lines at the end of the endcap are hidden.

The right Wall, when selected, looks like this:

No Return Offset here, just a variation on the Standard Wall Endcap, with all end lines hidden.  This Wall ends 8" from the end of the left Wall, so that the linework from both Walls meet.  But that 8" gap prevents cleanup.

You could achieve the brick bump out in other ways, but I think this would be easier to do, particularly if this condition happens numerous times in the building.

The attached file is a copy of the file used to generate the images above, should you want to examine it firsthand.  It was done in AutoCAD Architecture 2019 (2018 file format).
