I hope someone has a solution to this...
Background: Most users have full versions of Acad Architecture 2010. One used LT 2010. We had a lightening strike which fried the desktop with LT. New desktop didn't like LT 2010, so they got upgraded to LT 2016.
All of us touch pretty much every drawing. Up until the LT 2016 upgrade, we really haven't had any issues. Now, the 2016 user saves anything she works on down to LT 2010. And now when anyone with the full 2010 versions open one of the saved down dwgs, a message pops up (see attached) noting that drawing contains new versions of objects.
My main issue is now I cannot use the Detail Component Manager to insert objects like beams and studs, and the basic pallette does not work either.
Help, please.
Thanks!

LT2016 will upgrade all AEC content in your ACA2010 dwg files to the newer format, and totally lock all of the rest of you out of those files forever. This is buy design, AEC content are not year-save-down capable.
You all need to be in 2016-year versions of all your software or figure out how to get LT2010 back on the new PC (you might have to buy this fix to do it http://www.longbowsoftware.com).

Ugh..... well, that stinks. So because of one upgrade, the other 6 of us are now locked out of using AEC content? Thank you, Pendean, for responding.

In addition to what @pendean said, as an office, you should do daily and weekly backups so that you can keep going. LT users should only have access to a copy of the architectural plans. They should be doing whatever detailing does not require AutoCAD Architecture by projecting from those drawings.
Whenever you upgrade, you should also make a copy of files as a dummy project and test that project thoroughly before using the upgrade on a real project.
