So I've made a floor layout using brick veneer walls, windows and doors, however they do not appear when I go to layout? (See image below)
Through researching this, a quick fix would be to reset the settings of AutoCad Architecture to default, which O've done, however the same issue arise, does anyone know how I can reolve this?

Door and Window layers are on and thawed?
What Display Configuration do you have set current? Does the Display Representation Set assigned to the top view direction in that Display Configuration have at least one active Display Representation for Doors and one for Windows? Do those active Display Representations have at least one component turned on and assigned a color that you would be able to see against the background?
Attaching a sample file that has the issue would help someone here sort out the problem.

Forgive me, looks like most of my reply disappeared, Odd.
You stated the doors/windows only disappears in your viewport in your layout, but I see they are also missing in modelspace too. So it being an issue only in your viewport is not accurate, at least in the sample file provided.
Did this drawing start from one of the AutoCAD Architecture template files that ships with the program? It seems to be missing a number of Display options that are included in those templates. I ask because that would make me question all of the Display settings.
Anyway, as @pendean pointed out, the Standard Display Configuration [DC] does show your Doors and Windows. Both Standard and Medium Detail use the Plan Display Configuration Set for the Top View direction. The difference? The cut plane height for the Standard DC is at 1400, where it will actually cut through the Doors and Windows. The cut plane height for the Medium Detail DC that you had set current on the Model tab is way up at 10000, far above the top of your Walls, and not cutting the Doors at all. The only Door and Window components that are turned on are those at the cut plane. With the Below Cut Plane components turned off and the cut plane at 10000, nothing shows. Lower the cut plane to 1400, and the Doors and Windows show, and you get to see the component hatch in the exterior Walls, too.
I have attached a revised copy of your file, with the cut plane lowered to 1400 for the Medium Detail DC.
