AutoCAD and Revit are entirely different but have you tried using livesectioning with a sectionplane that has the volume option enabled?

A Live Section in AutoCAD Architecture is probably the closest thing to a Section Box in Revit.

You place a "regular" Section Line, and can generate a 2D Section/Elevation from it, if you like.  Select the Section Line, right click and choose Enable Live Section from the context menu.  Switch to a non-orthogonal view direction to see the effect.

While the Live Section is enabled, you can select the Section Line, right click and choose Toggle Sectioned Body Display from the context menu to toggle on a "ghosted" view of the model outside of the Live Section extents, if you want to see what is beyond, for context.  Repeat the action to turn the model beyond the section extents back off.

You can edit the extents of the Section Line and the Section Depth while Live Section is enabled, if desired.

Thanks for the information.

The section line works partially well, it would be perfect if it also detected solids. On the other hand, the section plane only recognizes solids.

Maybe in the future the section lines properties to detect solids can also be extended.
