Hatching Issues

I am having issues with the hatching command, in that when I scroll down the drop down library, about 3rd down it freezes and I have to reboot the program.

I can get round it by typing HPDLG which brings up a different menu, but not how I want to !!

any ideas ?

ACA version is what?
Windows OS is what?
Is this a sudden new problem in ALL files, or is the problem in this one file?

You might need to turn off HPQUICKPREVIEW and GALLERYVIEW variable as your graphics card can't seem to keep up with AutoCAD otherwise.

That's for the quick response.

AutoCAD Architecture 2016

Windows 7

It is an issue that has only just started and seems to be on every file

tried the toggles suggested, still a problem !!

regards

Have you (or your firm) added any hatch pattern files anywhere on your AutoCAD search path recently (at or before the time the problem first occurred)?  If all of the problem files tested so far are from the same folder, check there, too.  Could be there is file that is for some reason giving AutoCAD a hard time - perhaps some sort of error (although it usually just ignores those) or a very dense pattern that is taking an inordinate amount of time to generate a thumbnail.

Had to IT to re-install my profile, I had conflicting information in my user profile and think AutoCAD was looking to that, possible corrupt hatch file

also ended up uninstalling AutoCAD and re-installing

thanks.
