FW: 3d steel not rendering properly in autocad architecture 2015

Im currently using Autodesk Architecture and I use the tool catalogues included to to draw various steel beam, but not all the time.

I did this drawing in Moslty #d solids with a Mechanical pipinfg overlay. I use the Object Viewer as I am modeling to check clearances with steel and other 3d objects. This is a snagit screen shot with added text to show varous components of a cooling tower. This screen shot was taken while object viewer was open. As you can see the steel framing that supports the cooling tower is showing up in wireframe mode while the rest of the image is showing up in the conceptual mode. In 2014 this funtion worked fine, everything rendered in the same mode, but in 2015 all the steel shows up as wire frame. I have to send these images out to enigineers and architects for submission and approval. I would really like to be able to send them a better image. Is there a fix for the problem, or a new setting that I don’t know about that would make the steel show up in the same mode as the rest of the image while using object viewer?cooling tower.jpg

2014 have an Object Enabler installed for the MECH content that 2015 does not perhaps. Or your viewer has issues with 2015 DWG file tweaks.

Its not the mechanical content, it's the steel that I have a problem with, it worked in 2014 but in 2015 it doesnt

Hi @aholman,

Thank you for posting your question here. I'm sorry to see the steel objects are displaying with the correct visual style in the Object Viewer.

I've been testing this here in AutoCAD Architecture 2015, as illustrated in the Screencast below, but the objects display correctly for me:

Was the file created in ACA 2015, or an earlier version?

What type of objects are the steel members listed as when you select them? Structural Members or something else?

Have you made any adjustments or overrides to the display of structural members? Created a custom display configuration?

Could you post a copy of the file here for analysis?

Do you try to copy paste into a new dwg file?   Start the new file with an ACA template.

Is not a common problem, i test in 2015 and 2016 ACA version and works fine for me.
