File date does not update in Autocad Architecture 2016

When I updated my computers to Windows 10 and Architecture 2016, I have noticed that when I open and save a file created in earlier versions, the date of the file does not change in the cad program.  When viewed in Windows File Explorer, the date is updated.  Any ideas how to get the file dates to change when saved in Autocad?  If I rename the file and save it within Autocad, the date changes.

If you are speaking about the Windows explorer using a detailed view mode, then the date field seems to correspond to date created (in Windows 10).  Uncheck its display and add "Date modified".  In Windows 8, "Date modified" was shown and "Date" was an attribute that was only available on an extended list.

If you are speaking about AutoCAD fields, then whether a date field updates depends on the field type. For example, the date field needs to be edited or it won't update.  The SaveDate field will update with each save.

I have no idea what you are trying to explain to me. The save dates on the
files within Autocad Architecture do not update unless I create a new file.
For existing "saved" files, they show they are updated in Windows Explorer.
It is confusing when working within Autocad especially when comparing dates
on files. I've never had this issue before updating to Architecture 2016,
but I upgraded to Windows 10 at the same time so do not know if that is a
contributing factor.

Thanks

I do not have Windows 10 at work, but from your description, it sounds like, in the Select File dialog in AutoCAD, that you have the Date created property shown, rather than the Date modified.  In Windows 7 and AutoCAD Architecture 2016, I am able to right click on the column headers and choose which column(s) I want to see.

I checked and I have "date modified" displayed in the save dialog box, so that is not the issue.  Sure acts like it though. I never knew the option existed so I did learn something..
