Exporting a 2018 drawing sketchup compatible file

I am trying to export a AutoCAD Architecture 2018 drawing to a file format that is compatible with Sketchup and retains the entities.  I have tried saving to version 2013 all the way down to v2000 as well as exploding the drawing.  Pretty much everything I can think of and when the drawing is opened in Sketchup none of the walls or other entities created using Architecture are there.  Any suggestions?

You need to use the "EXPORT TO AUTOCAD" feature under your big red A to remove AEC content (walls/doors etc.): SketchupPro (not the free version) accepts 2013-dwg format files (we do it here all day long).

If you need the ARCH features to remain intact, you need to use something other than SketchUp, like Autodesk's 3DSmax etc.

I have tried that. I get a message that an error has occurred during save and I should try recovering the drawing. That doesn't work either.

There may be an inherit problem in your DWG file: here are the many ways to fix that file, no single solution is perfect so try many or all https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/AutoCA...

Are you exporting the file with a non-orthogonal view set current, such as SW Isometric?  (Anything other than Top, Bottom, Left, Right, Front or Back should do.)  If you export from a Top view, using an out-of-the-box Display Configuration using one of the "Plan" Display Representation Sets, you will only get linework.
