Drawing becomes write protected in AutoCAD Architecture 2020

Randomly the file that I am working on becomes write protected; this is after I have been saving it.  This happens with all the files that I am working in...but it doesn't happen every time.  Files are stored on a server.  This has only been an issue with this release.  I have read a few threads regarding the issue with 2014, but none of that has helped.

are you saving to a dwg format lower than 2018?
are you working in an dxf?
is 2020 fully updated and patched? ABOUT command is where to check.

Talk to your IT: you most likely have a login rights issue accessing the server.

As a test, move files to your computer for the morning, disconnect from the server, and try to repeat the problem. Your IT will want that test result.

Set XLOADCTL to 2 while you are at it.

I have changed the setting and still have the issue.    I didn't have this issue with any other update for AutoCAD; we've been using this for years.  I am the only one in the office that has this issue.  Updates on other machines worked fine.  It might be a permissions issue with Window 10 (I had read another thread regarding this).

Thanks for your input.

>>>...Updates on other machines worked fine...<<<
Ask your IT to clone another machine to your PC if changing log-ins does not fix the problem as another option.
