Am very grateful, the techniques you gave me have worked for converting 3D into 2D floor plans. Thank you so much for your time and effort

Another Question: Doors and Windows not visible in floor plan when above/below certain elevation

The windows of the bathrooms are at a higher elevations compered to the others simply because most are smaller in size. However at that higher elevations, the Windows are not visible in the floor plan. What solutions can you provide for me

Can you set the cut plane at an elevation that cuts all of your Windows (that does not mess up the display of other items)?

One might argue that Windows above the cut plane should not appear the same as Windows at the cut plane.  You could just turn on the Above Cut Plane components of the active Display Represenation(s) of the Windows above the cut plane - perhaps with a dashed linetype.

If you want them to appear the same as Windows that are cut by the cut plane, there are two options:

  1. If there is a single cut plane height that will cut all Windows in a given Wall (but you do not want to set the cut plane for the entire drawing at that height), you can set a display override on the Wall (or, if it works for you, on the style of the Wall) that has the Window(s) above the cut plane, and, on the Cut Plane tab, check the Override Display Configuration Cut Plane toggle and then set the Cut Plane Height to a height that cuts all Windows.2019-06-20_ACA2020_WallObjectDisplay_DisplayProperties_CutPlaneTab_OverrideDCCutPlaneHeight.png

  2. You can set a display override (style or object level, as appropriate) and, on the Other tab, uncheck the Use Cut Plane of Containing Object when Anchored toggle.  (If you are also using the Sill Plan Display Represenation, you may want to do the same for that Display Represenation.)  Then, set an object or style level override on the containing Wall, and on the Other tab, check the Hide Lines Below Openings Above Cut Plane toggle.2019-06-20_ACA2020_WallObjectDisplay_DisplayProperties_OtherTab_HideLinesBelowOpeningsAboveCutPlane.png
