Dim Scale Linear

Hello All,

I am having this problem with dimensioning in paperspace.  The firm I work for dimensions their plans in paperspace - when I do my dimensions, the dim scale linear is a huge number.  I have to go to properties & change the dim scale linear to -1.00 & then the dimension reads correctly - for example, the plan is at 1/4" (48) scale, my dim scale linear reads -2304.  Now if I do the math that large number is "48 x 48" then I change it to -1, then the value changes to 48.0 - which works.  Once correct, I try to "add selected" thinking that it is fix, but that doesn't work.

I don't understand what is going on.  I am the only one that is using ACA while they are using autocad 2015.  In ACA, I've dimensioned in model space with annotative dimensions, but they don't want to do that, so here I am with this problem,  I like using ACA because I can use the AEC tools.  They draw walls windows doors all with lines.

Thanks in advance....

You need to format a dimension style for paperspace dimensions.

Start withDIMSTYLE on the command line and click on NEW in the dialog.

In the next dialog that appears go the the Primary Units tab.

Set your Units to Architectural and select your precission.

Then place a checkmark in the box for "Apply to Layout Dimensions".

Leo,

Thank you for the reply...

That seem to work - but for only new dimensions created.  If I "add selected" the dim. in another location, still happens.  At least I know what to set on this dim. style going forward.

Hi,

Use command "DIMASSOC" and then type "2" and enter. After that place dimension of elements.

It will come as per dimension layout scale.
