Custom Tag Property Set Definition Question

ACA2020

I created a tag that tags a Space for the purpose of determining Occupant Load for that specific Space. Building departments seem to like this.

It has 4 lines that I set up in the Property Set Definitions: The first is a text line that allows you to categorize the type of occupancy. The second is automatic and utilizes the base area of the space. The third is the Occupant Load Factor and is an Integer in the PSD and is also user input. The last line is the Occupant Load which is a formula I created in the PSD which simply divides the Base Area by the Occupant Load Factor. What I'd like to do is to add mere text to the end of that last formula's answer so that it would be more clear that this number is 'per occupant'. I was thinking that I might be able to add a 'suffix' or something that says '/ OC' or similar. I've tried to achieve this to no avail. Attached is a drawing w/ a couple spaces in it, tagged so you can see what I'm talking about. This may not be possible and is not the end of the world if it can't happen.

Thanks in advance!!!

Perhaps I have misunderstood, but if you divide the base area by the area per occupant, the result is occupants, not /OC.  If you add text suffixes, you won't be able to total the column when scheduled.  If you just want text suffixes in tags, the add the suffix as a text and the rest as the property set field, right justified. Modify the headers to show units in schedules.

Thanks for the response. Apologies for not making myself clear.  I want to add a suffix to that last line of the Tag. I'm not scheduling this info. The "/OC" is merely shorthand for "Per Occupant"...so if that last number is 9.89 I want it to read "9.89 /OC". If the slash creates an issue I could re-size the box such that the same answer could read "9.89 Per Occ"

I hope that's more clear.

Thanks,

Scott

Shouldn't you add the /OC to the load factor and not to the occupant count? The occupant load factor is sqft/occupant. Also, you should round the number of occupants up to the nearest integer.  Nevertheless, what I explained would work in the tag.

That is: add a separate text entity (left justified) to the block definition right next to the right justified field to simulate the suffix. This would allow you to use the property in schedules as well as in tags.
