Content Browser looking for wrong target file

We upgraded from ACAD 2018 to 2021 several months ago.  A coworker today tried to insert blocks from the standard Design Tools Catalog on their Content Browser, but some blocks are looking for files in 2018, which no longer exist.  We found through the file tab in options that quite a few of the file paths were referencing 2018.  We updated all to 2021, but this did not fix the catalog issue.  Most blocks work, but some don't.

This has to do with migrating, as the missing file paths have the word "migrated" in them.  Is there somewhere we are not looking at that would direct the content browser to look in other files?  I even copied my design tools folder and we replaced the one on my coworkers but that didn't change anything.  I have stopped doing the migration between versions as there are always file screwups like this or incorrect settings.  If we do a reset, does that actually reset everything, meaning ribbons, palettes, colors, etc.?

Update - we just ran a repair and made no difference.  The missing blocks are obvious in the catalog as the icon doesn't show.  The strange thing is it's only 1 in a group of 10+ that doesn't work.

Also, no clue why my first post is in 2 font sizes??

If I understand correctly, that's why you should never use the product directories to store custom content.  There was a workaround before you uninstalled that would help you in the future.  I believe exporting your catalogs will package the catalog and the content together so that it can be transferred to other computers/versions. There is also the migration process that might be of assistance if done before uninstall.  I typically keep older versions on the disk to avoid upgrading drawing versions in mid project.

If you backed up the target content folders, you could also restore them.  Since I have a laptop and desktop, I typically use Microsft Synctoy t backup/transfer.

The most likely reason for 2 font sizes is that you wrote your original post in the title region and then edited it. Either that or you wrote the post in another program and pasted it as formatted text.

Thanks for the response.  These are blocks in the standard (default) catalog - no custom blocks are located in our catalogs.  Based on the fact that we have replaced the catalog and all references with a working version (mine) and that we also repaired AutoCAD and have made no progress, will a reset possibly do the trick?  How much of your customized settings are modified when you reset?  As I said, we have always had problems migrating between versions - case in point my coworker's current issue, which is why with our last upgrade I wiped all traces of AutoCad from my computer before installing the new version and have had no issues.  Also, we can't keep older versions on our computers due to licensing.

Thanks for the tip with the fonts - yep, I copied and pasted.
