I had a new solid state hard drive installed and cloned my old hard drive. At that point I had Autocad on both drives. The new drive prompted me for an authorization code, which I had, and entered. It would not allow me to use it because that code was already being used, of course on the old hard drive. So I used the portable license utility and tried to export the license from the old drive. Every complication occurred and now I can't even import the license back into the original hard drive installation. I'm screwed if I cannot get this running. Can I just uninstall the old version and reinstall it? Can someone help me get Autocad back up and running?

Thank you for that information. It sounds highly illegal. I bought the software from Autodesk. I am the authorized user. There is nothing wrong with the discs. I should have a right to use it as long as the hardware will support it. I have signed nothing to change the status of my license. But I finally figured out what was likely happening and downloaded the subscription-based 2020 Autocad. And funny, in 10 years they have done very little to enhance Autocad Architectural. All they did was revise the presentation and how to arrive at different commands. Other than that, same program I had.
Thanks again for the help.
