Changing the view, changes the scale to extremely small scale

I am designing a house and when I change the view from top view to another view like front, the house disappears in a tiny speck, hard to find and it is a hassle to pan and zoom it back. It happens in Model view, as well in Work view.

How can I keep the house scale the same when switching views, and is there a command to center it when is totally disappeared outside the window?

AutoCAD Architecture will Zoom Extents when changing the view direction.  Do you have a stray item that is rather far away from everything else?  (Run ZOOM Extents manually - do you get the same result?)  If so, can you delete the item(s) that are far away?

David,

you hit the nail on the head. I found the stray item - I have no idea how it got there.

Sometimes my AutoCAD 2024 behaves strange and randomly moves objects or stretches a wall for miles....

The house still jumps around when I change the view, but not that far anymore. There may be another stray element which I cannot find.

Start SELECT command while in your new "front" view

at the command line type ALL then hit ENTER.

Hold the SHIFT key down and window (not crossing window) only what you wish to keep.

Start ERASE command an hit ENTER. Everything you did not select gets erased.

If you still have that same issue, something in your "house" has an element far far away. That will require you to dig deep to remove it.
