Can't remove ArchiCAD layers - please help

Hi,

I'm trying everything that Google and YouTube have to offer to remove these ArchiCAD Layers but nothing seems to work. I'm getting the error of the message where it says the object of that layer still exists when I've deleted the entire template. I've already tried LAYDEL which doesn't work as well. Obviously, I have the option to start a new template and redo everything. But I want to be able to resolve this on my own if a rogue layer decides to pop into the existing layers that I can't remove. I've attached my template for anyone who has the spare time to remove the Archicad Layers with the colors White and #8 and to educate me on how to do so.

LAYMRG command, merge them all to Layer 0 (that's a zero) that is always in your files and can never be gotten rid on ever in AutoCAD.

LAYDEL's limitations are as you found out.

If you want to pony-up $$ for add-ons from 3rd party developers, there are other solutions out there. But I prefer to not go there myself.

That's unfortunate: what error(s) did you get?

And does the file contain XREFs? make sure you're not grabbing any of those layers.

EDIT: see attached, RECOVER and AUDIT found file issues, detached all the missing XREFs, layers you wanted to get rid of merged fine to layer 0 and no longer around.
