Autocad Architecture run as Classic (or workspace)

In older versions of AutoCAD Architecture, when you installed, you had the option to have a shortcut to run A A as Classic AutoCAD.  I could not find that option in this install and cannot figure out how to run as classic.  Do I have to install Classic separately (and therefore take up more space for a lot of the same program)?

On a similar note, I notice there is only an Architecture Workspace in A A - historically there were a few workspaces.  What happened here and is this a place where Classic Arch should be a workspace to allow us to quickly switch without re-opening?

Using classic you lose out on a lot of the new functions the ribbon provides. There is a reason autodesk is not putting classic in anymore. They want the program to not be stagnant and progress to the future. I would suggest learning the new workspace as at some point you won't have the option of classic and you will need to quickly learn the ribbon to continue your work. If you do it now then you can learn it at your own pace instead of frantically trying to learn it when you have no option for classic. That's just my opinion and you are free to do what you wish, but I believe many people share that opinion as well on these boards.

Maybe I'm not making myself clear - or misusing the term classic.  I just want to run ACAD as ACAD, not AutoCAD ARchitecture.  I prefer not to download AutoCAD separately from AutoCAD Architecture since they both have the same platform.  I use the ribbon, the commands in the standard ACAD ribbon are different from those in ACA.  I used to use ACA when I had my own firm but no one in my office will use it and one of us is using the perpetual standard ACAD license so doesn't even have access to it.  Also, it's not helpful for doing site plans and certain other things we do in our firm.

Open the Options dialog, and go to the Profiles tab.  Is there a profile there called AutoCAD?  If so, set it current and OK back to the drawing.  Once AutoCAD Architecture is done reloading the profile, it should look like vanilla AutoCAD, using the ACAD.cuix as the main customization file.

Do this https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-architecture/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarti...

then... Recreate the "Classic" Workspace with all the toolbars and pulldown menus from old (with no Ribbon) in about one minute:

MENUBAR command, turn it on = 1 (4 seconds)
Go to Tools > toolbars > acad > layers (5 seconds)
hoover over layers toolbar > right click > properties (3 seconds)
hoover over any toolbar > right click > standard (3 seconds)
hoover over any toolbar > right click > styles (3 seconds)
hoover over any toolbar > right click > workspaces (3 seconds)
RIBBONCLOSE command (3 seconds)
arrange toolbars as you desire (20 seconds)
WORKSPACE command, SAVEAS option, CLASSIC will be the new name you type (5 seconds)

This doesn't work in the 2019 installation.  However, the person before you answered with the profiles answer.  Thanks!

I am trying to get AutoCAD Architecture to look like this instead of that crappy ribbon.  Is this possible?

It has been a while since ACAD looked like that!  See the previous responses to my original question (some of which thought this was what I was looking for).  Once you get used to the ribbon it's good.  Especially now that we all have big screens...

@stevedorLB5TV That screenshot is just PLAIN AUTOCAD, nothing to do with the ARCH variant.

Are you just using the wrong program to start with?

I think I see the project browser icon amongst his icons which is in the Arch variant.  I think he just has to turn off the ribbon after customizing all the buttons.  But I do think the ribbon is a good thing at this point, although I hated it in the beginning.  You can add icons to the ribbon as well...
