Applying materials to AEC slab edges

Please,  I have been trying to apply materials to AEC slab edges,  but I just couldn't get it.  Can someone put me through.  I want to apply black material to the slab edges in that pics.

Have you tried either changing the material for the slab itself or adding a slab edge style?  Slab edge styles have a fascia component that can be assigned a material.

I have changed the material of the slab itself. I also added a slab edge style. But nothing happens to the edge style. But the material of the slab style did change

You've got the materials and the edges set correctly but your slab edge style has no fascia component.  Create a rectangular profile (perhaps 10x150) by using a polyline.  Right click on the polyline and choose convert to profile.  Pick the upper left corner for the profile and give it a name.  Then edit your slab edge style, check the fascia component and choose that profile.  Leave the auto adjust height checked to make sure that it adjusts to the slab depth.

Additionally, you could omit the slab edge styles and just adjust the display configuration of the slab style.  Turn on the shrink wrap. Turn off the boundary. Check use materials for shrink wrap and make sure it's set to the grayaec material.

After creating the fascia for the slab,  here comes another problem.  I have been trying to align the slab edges with the wall edges. I have not been able to do that.  How can I do that?
