hello, first issue is that when i try to draw a wall, the wall is shown right in preview but when drawn it shows as just two blue lines. i tried different profiles but that didn't work

and second is that in properties window when trying to add a wall somehow the width parameter is locked to profile default and i cant change it, i can change height and other numbers but i can't change the thickness

i should also add that walls are fine (expect the thickness problem) if i turn the view to 3d the walls are shown as they are but in top view they are all blue lines

Hello Again, the blue line problem is fixed and it was caused by a change in cut plane number. i will be thankful if you could help me on the wall width being locked!

What Wall Style are you using?  Some Wall Styles have a variable-width component that allows you to set a width.  Many others (particularly those with multiple components that make use of endcaps) do not.  You cannot change the width of Walls using the latter Wall Styles in the Properties palette.

Only generic wall styles or walls with a component that has a variable width (BW) have an accessible width property.

To understand this, add a standard wall, right click and choose "edit wall style".  On the component tab, there should be a single component with a width of "BW".  This means that the user can vary by making each wall a constant width.  If this were in Revit, it would be making the wall thickness ("base width") an instance property.

To create a truly tapered  or freeform wall such a battered wall, you would need to model it as a mass element and then convert it to a wall.  Another method is to model as a solid, convert it to a mass element and then to a wall.

For others who might read the thread, a blue line displayed in the plan view isn't just related to the clipping plane height.  The diagnostic display configuration shows walls as blue lines with a triangle that shows the wall direction.
