Is it possible to add a breaking point (a vertex) to an existing railing.

Hi @zionshea

I don't think that you can enter a vertext to an existing rail or divide it by breaking it. 
however, if you use polylines to create the railing, and you haven't deleted them, then you can break the polyline first, then replace the older railing with a new one. Here you would select all the parts of the polylines to get multiple railings.
