4k laptop for Autodesk programs??

Hi, 

Im getting a laptop that has a 4k screen, do programs like Revit, 3dsmax and CAD etc work well on 4k screens? Are they optimised for 4k, I know there have been links to these questions before but there dated now. 

If anyone has any experience using these programs on 4k laptops and could advise that would be great. 

Also can u downscale a 4k monitor to 1080p and it still look and work okay?

Are there any cons to 4k, is it worth the £350 upgrade for the benefits or is it better to go FHD. Its gonna be used as an allround laptop, Autodesk/uni/design/gaming/Netflix etc
