We downloaded AutoCAD Architecture 2021 on Friday. The first thing that I notice is that Tool Palettes are a mess. There is a generic Architecture tab with an odd random mix of items: Door, Window, Fluorescent (Recessed) Aluminum Window elevation, Door Elevation, Stud, Toilet, Trees, Vehicles. And repeated with Imperial and Metric. Where are the Wall types? Door types? Window types? All the options that used to be under the Design Tab - stairs, columns, etc.? Customizing Palettes doesn't even give the option to have a Walls tab or Doors tab. I want the tools I need and don't want Metric versions.
Then as I got to work this morning I realized the Walls are not "Walls"...Doors are not "Doors" and on and on. I an working on a drawing done in 2020 and now the walls, doors, windows have no changable properties. Just layer, color, linetype....the basic properties that lines have. And they also have no grip points to manipulate. What happened to the features that made AutoCAD Architecture so valuable?
This is really going to screw up the deadline I have for today if I can't actually manipulate a drawing.
