Layer control in viewports?

Is there a way to freeze layer in mutible viewports at once.
I have about 8 viewports in each 6 layouts. I want to freeze the same layers in each viewport but I do not want to do it 42 different times. Is there a way I can select all the viewports an freeze the layers once? I tried saving state and restoring but it did not work.

If you FREEZE a layer it will be frozen in ALL viewports.

VPLAYER will help if you need to address the viewports individually or
as a group.

I do not want the layers frozen in the model.

VPLAYER

And you can specify more than one layer to freeze at a time by putting
commas (e.g.: Layer1,Layer2,Layer3) with no spaces in between the layer
names and also the use of wildcards and/or creating a script (as this is
a command line command) to help automate the process.

If they are to be the same and you have the Bonus/Express Tool(s) LAYFRZ
and LMAN these might work for you.
