Why am I receiving a pop-up in Google Chrome stating to change my password?

"A data breach on a site or app exposed your password. Chrome recommends changing your password on assemblehub.tryassemble.com now."

The most recent version of Chrome monitors data breaches for passwords. It means that the password you use for Assemble was found in a data breach from another company. You should change your password on Assemble as well as any other site where you use the same password.

Hi,

Clear your cache and cookies. If you keep getting asked to change your password, someone may be trying to get into your account using harmful software. We strongly recommend that you: Update your anti-virus software and use it to scan your computer.

Further, three dots > Settings > Sync and Google services > turn off Warn you if passwords are exposed in a data breach and turn off this feature to disable the built in Password warnings for breach.

Hi,

1. Open the Chrome menu using the button on the far right of the browser toolbar.
2. Choose the Settings menu option (highlighted in blue).
3. Click the Show advanced settings… link located at the bottom of the page.
4. In the “Passwords and forms” section, click the Manage passwords link.
