I'm getting gpu fatal error occurred

I have 1660 TI 6gb gpu and whenever I try to render with gpu I always get this error. When I try to render sequence, few frames get rendered but after that arnold automatically stops rendering. it doesn't render all frames. but I could able to render only single frame using gpu but it works for few minutes if I try to render single frame often it gives me error. I'm using latest drivers. today I thought let's try out nvidia's creator driver to see if it solve my problem or not but creator drivers are more worse. its taking a lot of time plus its giving me error more then before. CPU Render Works completely Fine. Need Solution For It. Thanks.

Can you get an Arnold log?

Instructions for generating full verbosity log files are available for MtoA, MaxtoA, C4DtoA, HtoA, KtoA, and Kick.

It probably won't help for this bug, but you might like to know you're no longer running the latest version. You can upgrade your mtoa 4.2.1 to 4.2.2. Even if that doesn't fix this particular bug, hopefully it'll give other GPU or CPU improvements you can enjoy.

4.2.1 isn't the latest. You can upgrade here to 4.2.2 https://www.arnoldrenderer.com/arnold/download/

Nice to see it's such a simple scene! Can you upload that here so we can try to reproduce it?

I tried the same maya and mtoa version along with various driver versions, but I could not get it to crash on my gpus. Are you overclocking the GPU? Could the GPU be overheating after all those rendered frames? Another possibility is that this crash might require your specific GPU (I tried a P6000 and RTX 6000)?

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Hey, I'm not overclocking my gpu. My laptop has turbo button, if I turn it on, It overclocks my gpu + doubles the fan speed. But that's not the case. I get error without turbo mode. I have saw on internet that many people already faced this problem with same gpu(1660 TI) but none of them got any solution. Maybe gpu rendering is not compatible with this specific gpu GTX 1660 TI?

But one thing i have noticed that after installing mtoa 4.2.2 it's crashing less than before. Before that it was crashing many times. But now it is still crashes but it's less crashing compared to the past version. I have tried to render this cube test 10 times and the result was this : 7-8 times gpu render works fine it rendered all frames. but it gave me an error 2-3 times. So I just told you the approximate gpu fatal error chances.

I don't know how it would handle complex scenes. I think it's gonna give me fatal error cuz cube test is a very simple scene. Did you tried it on 1660 ti? I think that specific gpu could have some compatibility issues. Thanks for your time and efforts I'm really happy to see how fast you are trying to sort out my problem 🙂
