An Option for saving samples and adaptive samples separately for GPU. Would make switching between GPU and CPU a more forward experience when cross-checking render times, samples and noise in AOVs etc.
Maybe even an option to override all scene light samples with 1 for GPU if it is not already ignored by default anyway? A GPU to CPU switch button for the IPR will neatly complement this.
Something like:
- remember GPU specific samples settings - no/yes
- override Scene Light Samples to 1 - no/yes
I guess most DCCs have render settings to kind of compensate for that, but a native implementation with IPR UI representation would be more clean. Especially in context of choosing a render device and the consequences for sampling (ray splitting vs not).
