It'd be called the "ray light" or something like that. And it is essentially a cylinder light stretched between the starting point and a target point. It could be useful for creating things like lasers and other forms of beams, as adjusting the length of a cylinder light means it needs to be moved again afterwards.
Huh, nice. I like the Macross Gundam. What settings did you use for the light? I can never get it to be completely straight, as a cone angle of 0 somehow prevents the light from rendering.
