Why does this site sign me out so often?

It is frustrating answering a question to find that it has signed me out yet again and I have lost my answer.

How long would you say it takes before your logged out?

Every couple of hours at least I believe.

Got a reply from DZone about this, the site will sign you out after 3 hours of inactivity, so that gives you a fair amount of time. Also, there is a feature that automatically save your answer as a draft. If you log back in and go back to the question you were working on, it will give you the option of loading the draft, so you should not loose anything. Its signed me out again after only an hour or so...

It is less than 1 hour for me.

Is it to prevent spam? It is annoying having to sign in every half an hour.

Lee the DZone team has adjusted this, the delay to log out will be an hour now.

Can't it be extended further? Having to sign into this site multiple times a day is draining.
