Problems of crash using XGEN

Hello, I'm trying to use the XGEN tool , which seems to be amazing and a good competitor against the iTooForest pacakge for 3DSMAX & Corona...

but I get a crash with Maya. this is aproblem of unknow how to use XGEN. Which tip would you recommend me in order to create a huge meadow with grass? Which is the size of your face/rectangle?. And how about if my scene is huge and is a meadow?. In 3DSMAX with itooForest Pack software, we must control the number of elements and its density and we use the trick to check "place elements only in the ara that "fall" inside the effective view region of the camera" in order to avoid the overflow and the crash of the system, althought never crashes because doesn't draw any instance and sends to the user a message with instructions and advices for reducing the desnity and elements number (even if only draw elements in the region view). But, what trick should I use in order to avoid the crash of Maya due to the out of range of the memory usage?. Any idea?. Thank you.

An author of a tutorial answered me the next:

1.-First this is to scale your ground to be small.

2 - Your polygon faces should be even.

3 - Make uv for all the ground, then separate the ground in to 5 or more depend of size a ground. if is very been som think like 40 part or more.

4 - Use xgen splines.

5 - make the preview to be 20%

20 minutes calculating and nothing...

I can't comeback to MAYA, although through the task manager I can see what Maya tried to do...
