Clip Geo object colors

Hello I really love the new addition of Clip Geo. Having some issues though. Since the clipped area of the object is dictated by the clipping object, I am having problems with cutting several objects. What I am trying to do is similar to the attached image. It seems that multiple objects with different colors will require more that one clipping object/Clip Geo shader. When I use more than one Clip Geo shader I get an error that only one can be used (possibly because they have to occupy the same space?). Is there another way to do this?

Are you using Trace Sets?

Yes, and I tried inclusion and without. It seems to be that two different objects with Clip Geo can't occupy the same space. If move the white and black areas and their respective Clip Geo cutting materials away from each other they both work okay.

From the docs:

  • Self-intersecting geometry or intersecting clipping objects can cause artifacts.

Can you attach the scene, please?

Here is the scene. It does seem that the problem is the intersecting clipping objects. If you have a model of the earth and you want to slice it to show the core I guess every layer must be the color of the clipping object.
