Sequence render GPU VRAM leaks or "OptiX error is: bad allocation"

Hey everyone,

I'm not sure what's happening here. It seems like a VRAM memory leak or something with the OptiX denoiser but I've tried turning that off and that doesn't fix it.

Essentially I'll get 20 frames in and Arnold will kick out:

(gpu) an error happened during rendering. OptiX error is: bad allocation GPU 0 had 21493MB free before rendering started and 9425MB free when the crash occurred.

I've tried this tutorial and still it aborts just now when it reaches the limit I specified. I've toggled things like the denoiser, adaptive sampling, aov's, gaussian blur, and none of that changes the outcome.

Maya 2024.2 and tried 2023.3
Arnold 5.4.1.1
Nvidia 4090 (Driver version 552.22)
96gb DDR5 RAM

Scene contains:
Arnold sky light
MASH distributer (tried both geometry modes)

Couple basic meshes

A plant model that I got from quixel and imported by hand and added 4 texture maps.

Render settings:
4k
GPU mode
8 AA samples (I'm also tried with adaptive because I read somewhere that might fix)
With and without OptiX denoiser
No additional AOVs

I've checked arnold updates, driver updates, turned off optix denoiser. I can't get a sequence to render for longer than 15 minutes.

Please let me know what I can include to help troubleshoot.

Thank you!
