AiStandardHair melanin behaves so weird with ACES

the images are self-explanatory, I guess. I literally used the same settings for both, but the results are drastically different. How can I get it to work properly?

If you're using the right view transform, the match should be pretty close. Got a scene that shows the problem?

Looks like you are comparing the ACES tone mapper with an aRGB un-tone-mapped view. To get an apples to apples comparison of the melanin color you should compare the albedo AOV for the two.
