aiStandard Hair melanin regional mask

Hi, does anyone know how I can use a black and white texture on the groom base mesh to control melanin on different regions of the groom?

Yes, you can use a texture to drive melanin. I used it to make panda fur. The values are from black to white and white = black, black = white, and 50% grey = brown. A little confusing I know. If you want to test out value just hook up a ramp to melanin. The problem I had with the panda fur is that the melanin would transition from black to white in a small area and this gave me bad results. I ended up using ai mix shader with two ai hair standard and an alpha to separate the shaders.
