when I am working with aces workflow, I set the colorspace for inputs as Utility-linear -sRgb and utility-srgb-texture respectively...but output transform as srgb(ACES) ..Is this correct? When I view this in Photoshop it does not look.like the same like within the renderer. What do you suggest? Also, on a separate note... How can I get the aiToon shader I am currently using Maya 2018 and unable to get the toon shader.
yes that is correct. do not get confused with sRGB(ACES) and sRGB.
the image does not look the same in photshop because the ACES primaries are different and there will always be a slight difference in you sRGB image being viewed in sRGB and the same image(converted to ACEScg) being viewed in sRGB(ACES) .
If you want to preserve the look you would need to apply an inverse RRT which is not recommended as your values will go above 1.0 and also you loose the ability to throw more light.
and regarding the toon shader: does it not show up in the list or it doesn't work?
check your arnold version if its latest than "5.0.1.0" this one.
Have you seen the video from Arvid?

Hi Bhuwan!
Appreciate your time and reply 🙂
What would you suggest as to.how.can I view my render within Photoshop or after effects?
And with regards to toon shader, I have Maya 2018 and Arnold 5.0 which doesn't come.with toon shader but I have tried updating via Autodesk website and I am unable to get it loaded within my Maya.
For work with ACES in pipeline, you need install OCIO for all software are you using
From box, all software use sRGB, and for photoshop too.
How to using ACES you can read in arnold documentation https://docs.arnoldrenderer.com/display/A5AFMUG/ACES+Workflow
Latest version of OCIO download from here
https://github.com/colour-science/OpenColorIO-Configs/tree/feature/aces-1.2-config
