I can't seem to get portal lights to work in Arnold for Katana. We're using Arnold 7.2.2.1, and KtoA 4.1.6.0 for Katana 6.0.v2, but we have tried older versions too like Arnold 6.2.2.1 using KtoA 3.2.2.3 for Katana 4.0v8, but getting the same result.
I have attached a screenshot of how I'm setting it up, but no matter what I do I don't see a change in the render.
am I missing a step in the setup maybe?
You just need to position the quad light and enable Portal (no need to change spread and exposure afaik).
A test scene is attached.
About adjusting the spread and exposure, in Maya I'm able to add overrides, like an aiExposure override to the portal light, to boost the exposure of the dome in specific windows. Is it possible to do the same in Katana?
