Can't select alembics with operators

Hello,

I'm using houdini 20.0.590, HTOA 6.2.5.2 and Arnold 7.2.5.2.

I can't modify any properties on an alembic with arnold Operators. When I try to enable matte or change the visibility it simply ignores it unless the alembic is unpacked. I've attached an example scene.

Any ideas why it doesn't work? On previous versions of HTOA this worked perfectly fine

Export an ass file to see what you get. The operator selection expression has to select a node that you see in the ass file.

This is the .ass file I get, I've never gone inside one of these but the alembic node is there, I just can't select it

The node name is "0:/obj/geo1" so you have to select something like "0:/obj/geo1*"

And then in a debug-level Arnold log, you can verify the selection worked:

00:00:02 234MB | [operators] init op: '/out/disable1'
00:00:02 234MB | [operators] cook op: '/out/disable1' | node: '0:/obj/geo1/alembic:1:../matnet1/fx_matcap/OUT_material/:1:1'

Hey this works now, thanks!

But what does the "0:" mean? I've never added that when doing this same workflow, did the arnold operators change on a recent update?

That's the node name automatically generated by HtoA for the alembic node. It's not an operator thing, it's just part of the name string.
