Arnold stack overflow exception encountered during render

Hi there, I am trying to use arnold gpu to render forest scene and seems like it doesnt work. I am using houdini 19.0.589 & Htoa 6.1.2.0

The error message is that

"Arnold stack overflow exception encountered during render"

The gpu render works on not too much abount of geometry, like it can render the forest in separated layer. However, when I try to render the ground with grass, it failed and got this error message.

I would like to update to the latest Htoa but not sure is that available to use the latest verion in houdini 19.0.589

Is there anyway to fix it?

Cheers

The latest htoa is available for Houdini 19.0.657

It's hard to tell what's happening without more information. A more detailed log could help. Then we'd have an idea of the size of the scene, for example, and how many objects are in it.

Does it render in CPU mode?

There's some general advice about stack size in this thread:

Thank you for the quick reply!

I have read this thread but not sure how can I changed the stack size using the ARNOLD_GPU_DEBUG_STACK_SIZE environment variable.

And sorry that I overwrite the log file so I lost that render error information.

I tried render one more time and it has another error which is "ran out of GPU memory during rendering"

In the scene, there are 2 lights and 794419 objects and CPU render works well but the render cost is to expensive, thats why I am seeking to render in Htoa GPU

Here is my computer elements

1 x AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core Processor (16 cores, 32 logical) with 130992MB
NVIDIA driver version 516.94 (Optix 60803)
GPU 0: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 @ 1905MHz (compute 8.6) with 10239MB (8115MB available) (NVLink:0)

I happens again this situation about "Arnold stack overflow exception encountered during render"

The sequence render is successed when I set a low camera sample, liek 4 - 5 and no Max. Camera AA

When I raise up the Camera AA like 8 and Max Camera AA to 15, it failed to render the whole sequence and got this error message.

Is that possible to upload the log file here without and privacy issue?

Thank you
