Multiple GPU rendering, eGPU

Hi, I’m curious about multiple GPU rendering (2to4 4090s). According to this link, everything sounds very promising: https://help.autodesk.com/view/ARNOL/ENU/?guid=arnold_user_guide_ac_arnold_gpu_ac_gpu_faq_html

I’ve also found this benchmark test (https://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/gpu-rendering-nvidia-geforce-rtx-30-series-multi-gpu-scal... ) but unfortunately Arnold has not been included. Interestingly, some renderer drop performance if more than 2 GPUs are used.

It would be great if someone could share experience and suggestions. Such as supportive hardware components (CPU, MB, NVlink, amount of RAM, etc.) or any info that needs to be considered as some of the posts here at the forum seem to have trouble with multiple GPUs while others work fine. I am also wondering if an eGPU setup can be used for that to create a more flexible, external render extension.

Many thanks!
