Feature request: C4D-Gradient with label (Keyable)

And once more, while I'm here:

The C4D-Gradient section in arnold nodes (e.g. Ramp) used to have a label where you could keyframe the entire gradient. Now it starts directly with the gradient bar. I know, you can keyframe ond/or copy the color and other properties of every single color knot. But I loved the ability do copy and paste the gradient as a hole.

(I know you can save and load gradient presets, but that would be overkill).

Maybe this could be considered in a future release... 😉

The ramp node uses a C4D gradient widget, so is this a feature maybe, that the native widget had before? Or probably should be added to the native widget, thus maybe this is more like a feature request to Maxon?

Oh wait, I know what you're talking about. The little button before the parameter which we have in the legacy material and allows you to animate/keyframe the parameter and also has an option to copy the value.

That's indeed missing from the Node Material, but I don't think I have control over that.

This is probably something which would be forwarded to Maxon, requesting a copy & paste option in the gradient widget.

Thank you for your reply.

this is the gradient section in a native c4d material:

The red marked label makes the gradien keyframeable and you can rightclick on it and c&p. The gradient section in arnold ramp_rgb does not have this label:

I'm prettiy sure arnold had this some versions ago. Don't know if the label missing now is due to a change in maxons c4d-api. If so, I will be happy to forward this request to maxon.

But this is really just a nice to have thing!

Laters!
