Render Window will tell you what is wrong. If everything is red, then probably you are missing some textures. Could you provide a screenshot?
The issue is that the textures work fine in my current version, then when I upgrade to the latest version, pardon my French but all hell breaks loose lol. Either everything renders red, or it doesn't render it all, or the render will stop right after the preview render that I did not choose to use, (which is a known bug) or Max will crash. Is this due to the new licensing requirements that Arnold has implemented after certain versions?
Can you provide a log? That would help to see what is causing the issue. I used the latest version a project last week and it is fine. https://docs.arnoldrenderer.com/display/A5AF3DSUG/Log
You need to let the scene finish the render, so just use a small resolution.
And also, are you using GPU, OSL nodes?
Thanks, I'll get this information on here soon. Yes using gpu. I don't believe I have any OSL nodes.
Sorry for the delay. Your log is incomplete. That happened to me a couple of times. You may want to also do check the image I attached so you can get a more complete log. I remember seeing you opened a similar thread a couple of weeks ago. Is this the same scene? Does it happen on other scenes?
Think I finally got it all. This is with the newest version 4.2.2 as well. BTW, I saw these errors with Optix and it looks like render aborted right after these. Funny th8ing is that I dont have Denoise turned on.

Running out of VRam? But why on this version and not an earlier version of Arnold?

Hi Ciro, I was able to attach the full log finally, Its in the post above this one.
Something interesting but Im not surprised. Completely different scene with alot less geometry with the latest build on GPU. Frozen like this for 4 hours. Guess Im going back to the version that works and will wait for a major update.
NVIDIA's OptiX is the underlying gpu ray tracing API that Arnold uses (it is not just denoising) and it's reporting these errors. Running out of vram is a possibility since you only had 5GB of GPU memory free before the render started, though it could also be a bug in one of the shaders used. I would suggest simplifying your scene until it works as that will indicate the problem node or that you didn't have enough memory. Try removing your volumes first (like the wdas_cloud_eighth.vdb), then if that still doesn't work, try simplifying your shaders and removing geometry.
