reflection/transmission of light not correct

strange things happen, with my light in the window reflection (see photo)
changing ray depth or samples does not change anything.

tried different lights, settings, materials. nothing helps. What´s the problem here??

rendered with 3ds max 2018 and arnold.
lamp shade = transmissive standard surface from arnold
glas = thick glas, physical material
light = mesh light (but tried normal point as well, with same result)

HELP PLEASE

Is the HDR map that dark? If so, then maybe that is correct? Do you get the same issue with a different HDR map?

Have you tried disabling Opaque for the glass geometry?

Are the glass object normals facing in the correct direction?

Maybe the exposure value to high and indoor light to bright?

So the outdoor seem to dark.

If not add a sample scene. 😉
