Is there a way to view Arnold displacement in viewport for 3ds max? Need help
hi all,
I want to see Arnold displacement effect in the viewport as i need to animate few objects according to the displaced surface. Right now i m using active shade but its not very handy. Is there any way i can bake the displaced high-res mesh into view-port and use it as a reference for animation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgA0MleD3Q4 this is exactly what i want to do in 3ds Max. Thank you
What you can do is add a Displace modifier to the geometry to have a rough idea on how the displacement is going to affect the geometry. Something like this.
